1996 Toyota Tacoma SX review from North America
"I would recommend them to anyone looking for a tough, dependable truck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A fan-clutch bearing went out, while driving through Montana during the winter (-20F). I drove it for another 3000 miles before getting into the dealer. They replaced it for free under warranty.
One of the center console hinges broke. Dealer replaced it for free under warranty.
General comments?
Through 86000 miles, my Tacoma never broke down, or left me stranded in the woods. I changed the oil every 3000 miles, used Plus gas, and followed the manufacturer recommended service intervals and had very few problems.
It was great in the snow and off-road. I was able to average 18MPG in town and up to 25MPG on the highway. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a tough, dependable truck.
