2004 Toyota Tacoma TRD, SR5 review from North America
"One of the best out there"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bad clock placement, that is it.
General comments?
Bought it new in 2004 with 14 miles on it. Always wanted Toyota pick-up and so far looks like I made an excellent choice. Model is ext cab, 4X4, 3.4L V6, manual trans, TRD off-road package. Truck is great, at 8500 miles except oil changes did not required any maitenance. It is not a big vehicle, cabin is on a small side and that I expected and wanted. It's easy driven in tight city streets and easy to park. Gas mileage could be better, but at 18 mpg/ city I can't complain after 12 mpg that my '97 chevy used to get. This vehicle is high quality built, interior is well designed (except for the clock location), chassis and body fit well together, engine and trany are smooth, great on highway, radio has tape and CD, white gages that I love, seats are fairly comfortable, if I wanted better ones I would go for a cadillac. Bottom line: this is very nice little truck, well built quality, worth money I've spent for, should less long time, recommended.
