1983 Toyota Tercel SR5 review from North America
"A car you can love"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch went at about 170000.
Transmission went (Shortly after clutch was replaced)
Floors rusted out.
Ugly.
Little rust here and there.
General comments?
This car has been nothing less than Fantastic, It's my first car and even though I've had to replace the tranny (too much rallie style driving) And a few other minor things like do the brakes ect I could never say anything negative about it.
Just recently the oil rings started to go and it started pumping out deadly blue smoke, I was going to call a tow truck and have it hauled away to the wreckers, But I just coulden't let that happen so I got a rebuilt engine for it and away we go. I will sell the car soon, but I will never forget how Awesome it has been to me!!
