1991 Toyota Tercel review from North America
"Best car value dollar for dollar"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced timing belt at 100,000 miles the 1st time. At 200,000, replaced timing belt and idler. Clutch was replaced about 160,000 miles. Replaced hoses at 200,000 miles and charged anti freeze for the 1st time, along with new Toyota spark plug wires.
General comments?
Excellent on gas, 40mpg or better since purchased.
Replaced tires every 100,000 miles at a cost of 4 tires for $100.00.
Car never has had an alignment rack since leaving Japan in 1991.
Always started right up; a dependable friend.
