1990 Toyota Truck SR-5 review from North America
"Great little truck!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Timing chain went out at 98,000 miles.
General comments?
Timing chain blow-up was my fault, I should have gone ahead and replaced it as soon as I purchased the truck.
If I keep it that long, I expect to easily get over 200,000 miles out of it.
Truck handles better and likes it when you have a load.
For such an old truck, the SR-5 model has all the extras you want: power windows and door locks, cruise control, power rear view mirrors, AC, etc.
I'm 6-3 1/2 and there's plenty of room in the cab.
I would prefer the 5-speed for a little better mileage.
