1989 Toyota Truck review from North America
"This is a solid, reliable utility vehicle."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Absolutely nothing.
General comments?
I bought this truck based on the advice of a friend who's owned 3 Toyota trucks. He told me not to worry about the high mileage, and he was right. Even with 152K, the engine is still tight and does not burn oil.
This 1989 4WD is a great little truck, even though I wish it had some goodies like AC and intermittent wipers.
I'm surprised at the interior room on this extended cab, because I'm 6'3" and have long legs. Still, I have no problem with leg room and the seat provides plenty of support.
The little 4 banger doesn't have as much power as I'd like, but I knew that when I bought it. In its favor, 19 mpg isn't too shabby for a 4WD.
