We just purchased a Toyota Tundra Crew Max. We test drove a Ford F150 and a Chevy 1500 also. No comparison. The Tundra has the largest back seat of the three. My 6' 5" son is in heaven. The ride was much better than the ride in the others. Quite, no wind noise, many extras included in this truck that you would pay extra for in the domestic trucks. Always bought Fords before, but the Tundra seems to be beating the domestics in quality and comfort. Time for Ford and GMC to step up! Good Price with 0% finance charge put the price at or below the others.

Ford just bought back our Ford Ranger because it was a lemon. That truck is very outdated. Some of the parts are the same for some 15 year old Rangers. That is crazy. Never would have happened with a Toyota. I sure hope there are no other parts on that truck older than 25 years old like other Ford's.

Why didn't you compare the Ford F-250? Or a new Silverado 3/4 ton... maybe you forgot theres more than 1/2 ton trucks. Whats the compromise with the Tundra bed size as well?

How many people actually need a truck that will haul three quarters of a ton of anything? Very few. Toyota doesn't build them for this reason! It's common sense; if I were an auto manufacturer, I wouldn't waste my money building a truck that only probably 1 in 1000 people might even look at! LOL.

Just one of the many reasons that Ford is going under. Gas is 3 dollars a gallon, so let's build a big giant truck that gets 9 miles to the gallon. As for 1/2 ton trucks, Toyota makes the best one. Chevy and Ford trucks will probably continue to outsell the Tundra for awhile, only because Toyota hasn't even been making full size trucks for very long. But, just like Toyota has done with their cars and SUV's, eventually people will recognize that they are built better and last longer than any domestic, and they will start buying Toyota's instead. It's only a matter of time.

You guys can write in with whatever opinions you like, but Toyota makes the better vehicles, by far, and is outselling everyone else because of it. Printing more false examples and make-believe stories won't change this.

Every manufacturer has problems and recalls, it's just that Toyota has had less of them than anyone else, and has dealt with the problems more efficiently than anyone else. Of course, I can't attest to any of their problems, because everybody I ever knew that had a Toyota said it was the best car or truck that they ever had, and it never breaks; at least not until minor issues might start to occur at about 200 or 250,000 miles.

I don't know, mine have been perfect, and so has everyone's in my circle of friends and family. They just don't break down like Ford's or GM's.

So why is Toyota going even bigger end of 2007 with an enormous long bed? The new pick up will be huge. Can't wait to see the mileage figures forthcoming. I thought this was about environment etc etc... seems more like targeting a highly successful market achieved by the domestics. Have you driven any 2007's by the way? I like 3/4 ton pickups... my new pickup pays for itself each month and then pulls a 20 ft boat on weekends. If I was a weekend warrior the small hatchback, rope, roof racks routine you see commonly at the home centers would not require any truck at all to own. Some of us will not settle for a non functional vehicle... my livelihood and entertainment on weekends revolves around mine.

I looked at the Tundra, but went for the Ford. It was an easy choice. You have to look at everything and while the F-150 may not excel at one thing it is very good in all aspects.

One things for sure, it was a heck cheaper then the toy. Plus the early recall of the Toy made me question the reliability.

Ford F150 easily. You can't argue with the best selling vehicle for so many years in a row.

And it doesn't look hideous like the new Tundra.

02:03, Actually, you can argue against the F-150, because it's a piece of crap next to the Tundra. That boat has only sold well to this point because nobody else made a better full size truck until Toyota came out in recent years with the Tundra. Anybody with any knowledge about vehicles knows that Toyota's small trucks are worlds better than anything else, just as the Tundra is better than an F-150, and sales in years to come will reflect this. Watch and see.

I have seen several references in this review to a recall of the 2007 Tundra. to my knowledge there has not been a recall on this truck as of yet. They are dealing with the camshaft problem in the 5.7 liter engines, but there has not been a recall.

18:20.

Why are you making yourself look ridiculous with your statement?

Neither Dodge nor Chevy have been able to outsell the F-150 and let's not forget the Tundra has been around for a while now too and still couldn't unseat the champion.

There is a reason why the F-150 has been the best selling Truck actually also the best selling vehicle for many, many years now.

Are you actually calling the consumers who bought these Fords dumb?

The Tundra is the best full size truck made. And to those who mistakenly think that the Silverado and F-150 are even close to as good: Silverado sales fell 20% this month and Tundra sales skyrocketed and are UP 147%! Go Toyota! I'll keep everyone posted as the Tundra continues to blow GM and Ford out of the water.

13:22, Yeah, I gave you the reason why the F-150 has sold well; people had no other alternative than to buy one of these sub par trucks, or to buy another sub par truck in a Chevy or a Dodge.

I'm not calling anybody dumb, because now that Toyota has made a full size truck, smart people are buying them. Calling me ridiculous, and offering no facts at all won't change that.

Read the newspaper; Ford F-150 sales are down, Silverado sales fell over 20%, and Tundra sales went UP ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY SIX PERCENT last month! All of the smart consumers are buying Toyota's.

Where did you read that, where do you live? Where I live I've only seen about 5 of the new 2007 tundra and plenty of f150 and silverado's. I'm unbiased because I don't even own a truck and don't plan on owning one.

Regarding the sales numbers for June 2007, the Toyota lover is correct in that the Tundra saw a 146% increase from June 2006 sales. The numbers are very misleading though. Here are the rest of the facts regarding the month of June sales numbers.

Ford F-150- 65,156 sold

Chevy Silverdao- 44,955 sold

Dodge Ram- 31,114 sold

Toyota Tundra- 21,727 sold.

So Toyota lover, the numbers still place your precious Tundra in last place as far as sales numbers go, right where it belongs. Ford F-150 outsold your Tundra 3 to 1. So you really have nothing to brag about at this point.

Whats even better is owning 2 new domestic pickups...2 Silverados.

Keep talking while you can about your Silverado's and F-150 sales while you can. They're in a freefall and Toyota (the #1 seller in the world, in case you didn't know that) has already embarrassed them in the car and SUV market, and now is doing so in the truck market, after making a full size truck for only a few years, compared to many decades of Ford's and Chevy's.

So what exactly do you have to brag about? Ford losing billions? GM losing millions or billions? The low quality of the two? Toyota is on top and doing better daily as those two barely hang on. Toyota owners surely have a lot more to brag about than you do, starting with driving a much better vehicle.
