2007 Toyota Tundra SR5 review from North America

I am going to be honest with this review. I am aware of a lot of the concerns with this new truck, including things like the tailgate issue, the tranny issue, the engine issue, but so far for me the truck has been great. I have had no problems with the truck yet (crossing my fingers). But then again I only have 3780 miles on it.

Again being completely honest, this truck so far has been amazing to me. When I had to pull my 6900lbs boat, there was no problem, it did an amazing job.

When I wanted to drive for a relatively long road trip, and got 19.8 miles per gallon, I was happy, and still am happy with my choice.

I am not going to get into the whole debate of import vs domestic, or Ford vs Toyota. I did the research when the truck first came out, loved the pulling power, love the comfort level, loved the looks, basically loved everything about it. Nobody had the foresight to know that things like this would happen. Fortunately, so far Toyota has honored these mistakes with the warranty.

We all as Toyota owners knew this was a possibility. Toyota IS the new kid on the block in the sense of making full size pickup. But like I said, SO far, SO good.

Another thing to take into consideration; we as people in general, typically don't take the time to praise anything, typically we take the time to complain. I am really quite frankly not surprised to see so many unhappy people. I am sorry for you bad experiences, but there are still 449,298 tundra owners who have not voiced their opinions.
