Transmission.
A/C compressor.
Drive shaft had to be rebalanced.
Lots of power.
Toyota is no longer well built or reliable.
Terrible fuel economy.
Poor towing performance.
Lousy cup holders.
I'm not at all surprised. Toyota quality is a myth. They have never really been any better than domestics (in spite of the hype) and the newer ones are just garbage. One of our friends has a Tundra and often needs rides to pick it up at the dealer after having something else that broke fixed. We are more than happy to give him a ride in our 6-year-old GMC that has never had one single repair. Sorry you got burned. Next time go with Chevy, GMC or Ford. Even Dodge beats the Tundra.
Well, on the contrary, any Toyota is better than any Ford, Chevy or Dodge. They are far better built, far more reliable, of much higher quality, and a better vehicle in every single aspect.

That's your opinion. Too bad you present no facts to support it. Go ahead and believe what you like, incorrect though it may be.
22:27 sure read the review again sounds wonderful?...I have never had a single domestic that has ever needed a transmission and a/c ever totally going out in a vehicle ever in under 2 years old. I have been driving for 39 years. I too fell under the import myth but also had trans failures/air conditioning going totally out on my imports so I can sympathize with the reviewer. Specifically Japanese nameplates Hondas/Nissan. I feel buying gas is extravagant enough without added major almost new import repairs and the inconvenience.
My experience has been virtually identical to that of commenter 09:02. I've been driving for over 40 years and have never owned a new domestic that required any repairs to speak of, while the few imports we owned were anything but reliable.
I know that there are good imports, just as there are bad domestics, but making sweeping generalizations based on limited experience with one or two older vehicles that were bought used is a bit short sighted.
The new domestics are literally challenging the world's benchmarks of quality and performance. The Corvette is on a par with Ferrari in performance (and has long bested it in reliability) and the Cadillac CTS-V just beat out BMW's best in a comparison (while costing $20,000 less). The Ford Fusion has taken on Camry and Accord and come out on top, and the world's most affordable sport coupe (Mustang) just keeps getting better.
Yeah, Toyota and Honda are better than the domestics. I'm not stating facts again, because people who own domestics and comment here just tell me that they aren't facts, when they in FACT are. So I'll save my breath.
If you want to drive a Ford or Chevy, please do. I know that it's inferior to practically any import, and for certain not even a close competitor to a Toyota or Honda. Tell me I'm wrong, I don't care because I know the truth, as do most people, which is why Toyota and Honda have grown outrageously in the last couple of decades, while the domestics have in FACT suffered multi-billion dollar losses. Or was I imagining that too? Ha ha.
Drive what you like, I'll stick with the best; Toyota and Honda.
11:01 OK. Please explain to me how a crappy Ford Fusion has topped the world's best selling cars, the Camry and Accord? Is it because a Ford finally managed to get ONE decent review?
Toyota has ALWAYS been rated higher in quality than Ford, and still make the best selling car in America for 11 years running, the Camry. So let's hear you talk about the new and completely unproven Fusion again... good luck.
Seems to me I heard the same premature bravado about the Contour for example, and it turned out to be a certified disaster, like most Ford cars.
In fact, I heard the same thing about the '500' when it came out. It sucked so bad that they had to change the name shortly after just about no one bought it. So they renamed it 'Taurus' after yet another junk Ford car.
Meanwhile the Camry keeps embarrassing all of them.
Judging from the reviews, the ones most embarrassed by the Camry are their owners.
"Seems to me I heard the same premature bravado about the Contour for example, and it turned out to be a certified disaster, like most Ford cars."
Interesting, since the 2000 Contour reviews show a HIGHER approval rating than than the 2002-2006 Camry by a factor of almost 2 to 1. Where does the idea of "bad" Contours come from? Basically from myths spread by people who have been brainwashed by domestic-bashing import ads. No domestic is any less reliable than the new Camry.
"Interesting, since the 2000 Contour reviews show a HIGHER approval rating than than the 2002-2006 Camry by a factor of almost 2 to 1."
I kid you not - EVERY person that I know who has owned a Contour had disastrous mechanical failures with theirs. At least two of them blew their head gaskets. The rest had serious transmission and electrical problems. All had well under 100,000 miles on them. In fact, most didn't even make it to 60,000 miles. These were probably the worst cars Ford ever produced.
Consumer reports gives 10th gen <2003 F150 great reliability, and they are. Also it matches the Tundra on reliability according to them, and is cheaper, gets better gas mileage and looks better. Read consumer reports for yourself, I wish the 11th gen was the same, it's getting better though. Americans should stick to US built trucks wherever possible, and I'm an immigrant from Britain.
My condolences to the original reviewer. I licked my wounds and unloaded my import with similar woes. I thought the same about domestics until recently and I bought a new one. The new domestics we have are much less problematic.
If we're going to have a conversation about the supposed " inferiority" of Toyotas, or as many of you like to generically call: "imports", then perhaps it would be better to be more specific right? An import could be anything from a Trabant to a Fiat. All cars with grossly different qualities, designs, and reliability. The same with "Domestics"
Either way, you all can keep right on trying to convince yourselves that "domestics" are superior. I'll keep on driving my absolutely flawless, 250k+ miles Tacoma that's never had a single problem, thank you.
In our family we've had a Ford with 325,000 miles and no problems. I guess that makes Ford "more superior". Also, Buick with 277,000 miles and Dodge with 240,000 miles. That's three domestics to one very rare import. Three to one in favor of domestics.
Sorry. I'm STILL waiting to be convinced (and I'm a mechanic, so it will take more than "because I said so", or "I had ONE good import").
13:37 Thank you. I got a kick out of your comment. It's exactly as you say; Ford owners and so forth trying to convince themselves that what they drive can measure up to a Toyota in terms of quality. Sorry, Ford fans, NOT happening. It's always the self-proclaimed 'mechanics' that love the Fords and Chevy's; guys that get a kick out of changing parts every weekend when they fall off, blow up, quit working, etc.
Meanwhile, the Toyota and Honda owners get used to just DRIVING them and not having problems.
Just today, I was talking to a contractor who I noticed was driving an ancient Corolla, what year, I have no idea. I'll guess late '80's?? Possibly... rusted to pieces. Had the whole back seat full of tools, and looked like it hadn't been washed since 1989. I asked him how many miles were on it, he smiled and said 342,000, and he's never worked on it. EVER. That's what it is to own a Toyota.
If you Ford guys like to believe those disposable domestics are as good, go right ahead. Many of us know better.
