Well, The alternater went, at about 112,000miles. As well as the water pump, the brake rotors, at about 200,000 miles, but that's about it.
Overall the van has been a great investment and has definitly withstood the tests of time. Its not the fastest vehicle in the universe, but it handles well, and has been very reliable despite the high mileage. I also find the interior to be decorated in good taste, and quite confortable.
I bought my 1988 Van LE from my brother-in-law...He bought it from his friend.
It was mine for $1,700. It had everything working (a/c, sunroof etc). The odometer said 140K miles now it has 186K miles. The a/c died at 156K miles and did the brakes at least 3 times!!! Still not good, but the van is getting old.
Needs front right Hub/spindle (I have to buy one tire every 5-10 miles). Now the transmission is slipping when I put her in reverse. Overall... Toyota made a good vehicle. I wish they kept making it!!
