1989 Toyota Van cargo review from North America
"Great van!! except for the electrical"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I really like this van, it runs great. I had to fix the front brakes and the night taillights kept blowing fuses. I rewired taillights into a separate switch. This worked great for the last three years. But now a new problem has appeared. It started with the brake lights staying on, They would go off when the key was turned off, but would not go off otherwise. Then the wipers quit working. Next the fuel gauge and 4wd switch quit working. replacing fuses doesn't work as they just blow. This all started with the van just sitting there idling as I was standing behind it at night. I am still working on this so any help email at pitkinxpress@yahoo.com thanks jan. 22 2006.
General comments?
This van is definitely fun to drive! Like the way it steers, I even put a snowmobile in it last year! Hope I can fix it for a few hundred otherwise I may have to scrap. Don't want to though!!! odometer was disconnected when the master brake cylinder was fixed and I think this only has about 85,000 miles.
