2001 Toyota Yaris SR review from UK and Ireland
"The best £10K ever spent"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The vehicle has only required new wiper blades in 3 years of ownership.
Poor hydraulics for boot / hatch opening - which are starting to wear.
General comments?
Very reliable and a pleasure to drive.
This car is seriously quick for the money and handles like it's on rails due to the Fat tyres (195) and stiffened TTE suspension.
The gear stick is attached to the gearbox by wire cables, which stretch over time and can cause poor gear changes when the vehicle is given too much rice - people in the know berate Toyota for this across all models.
