2001 Toyota Yaris T-Sport review from UK and Ireland
"Top of the range Toyota Yaris and you can't half tell!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with the car and hopefully it will stay that way.
General comments?
This car really is a wolf in sheep's clothing, it's not stupidly quick, but by far out-sprints anything in its class, e.g. Saxo vtr
The t-sport comes standard with more uprated suspension than the other models, it is also 25mm lower. It comes with a close ratio gearbox which is brilliant for acceleration, but 70mph and above it starts to be quite noisy especially on motorways etc. The seats are very comfortable with great support when cornering hard. The dash in the center is unusual, but you soon get used to it. The dials are different from those in the rest of the range, instead of being digital, they come with white dials.
Very happy with it so far!
