1981 TVR Tasmin review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
In three years and 155,000 km. now has 216,000
- fuel pump failed
- required head regrind, seats
- brake pads twice
- tires twice
- axle outer u-joints
- transmission replaced
- front end required 1 bushing, and new rack gaiters
General comments?
It is driven very hard, and driven in all weathers. I have driven at 225km/h (required exceeding red line by 600rpm), and often drive between 140-160 for 30 minutes at a time.
Love the car, and use it as a daily driver. For the price, combined with the service, it still costs me less than a late model economy car.
