2000 Vauxhall Astra Sport review from UK and Ireland
"A dream to drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No problems at all, brilliant.
General comments?
The acceleration is quite good considering there's only a 1.8 up front, also the power is delivered excellently. For cruising you can get 30 MPH in fifth gear at just above 1000 RPM. Put your foot to the floor though and at just under 3000 RPM it takes off and it pulls like a train up to 5500 RPM's where it nicely goes straight into the next gear's power-band.
You'll have to turn the traction control off to have real fun though.
