"Good idea, but poor build quality"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Hydraulic hand brake fault - 15 repairs (13 in the first 6 months).

Camshaft speed sensor at 12,000 miles.

Speakers vibrate after 2,000 miles.

Engine has erratic running at 30 MPH in 4th gear.

Passenger air bag faults at 30,000.

Rear screen washer pipe broke at 80,000 miles in the ceiling of the car.

Wheel motion sensor fault at 50,000.

Condensation in front lights.

CDR player jumps in the cold and radio reception is poor.

Front seats needed stitching at 60,000 miles.

General comments?

Car handles well, but is prone to losing the back-end when taken to it's limits.

Traction control is not smooth.

Wind noise from the boot, when traveling on the motorway.

Brakes are great, when they work!!

The only point I'd like to make is that the user manual states to run the car between 2000-3000 revs, so if you up your revs, your car should idle correctly. Don't change to 4th gear until your revs are around 3000, which is about 40mph. Remember you're driving a performance vehicle, it wants to be pushed! I know as I had the same problem in my 1.8i 16v 1998 Astra Sport.
