1999 Vauxhall Astra SXi review from UK and Ireland
"A cheap, but impressive medium car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Slight oil leak which seemed to of cured it's self.
The bottom of the seats have started to come apart.
Tappets are quite noisy.
Can be quite sluggish at times.
Rear seatbelt came off the rail inside the seat (makes a scraping noise).
General comments?
The car is quite quick for a 1.6 although this is not consistant, it can sometimes be a bit slugish in second gear and other times it pulls nicely.
I like the sports style seats and dials and the neutral style dashboard compliments the sports features nicely.
The seats have problems re-adjusting themselfs.
Over all the car is good, it's realible, comfortable, economical and I personally think it's a nice looking car.
