1993 Vauxhall Cavalier SRi review from UK and Ireland
"A great car if you want buget performance and good reliability, easy to work on"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New front brake caliper fitted 65000 miles.
General comments?
I have done all maintenance myself since having my cavalier and the 8 valve sri engine is simple to work on unlike the ecotec!
It has never let me down so far and fuel economy is good for a car its size & performance.
Like any car it has its faults, but given the choice and past experience the 8v sri engine is the more reliable and least hassle to maintain in the sri models.
The 16 valve varients are very quick, but come with lots of problems and the 8 valve whilst not as quick are still good enough to give other motors a run for their money without the hassle!
