1994 Vauxhall Frontera Sport review from UK and Ireland
"A fun all rounder"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Intermittant fault on rear indicators.
Loose exhaust baffles.
Severe rust on leading edge of bonnet.
Interior trim coming loose around alarm sensors.
General comments?
Having only owned my frontera for two
months, I have covered 2000 enjoyable miles.
My off-road experience was very limited
and I treated the car very gingerly at first, but this didn't last long and now put it through it's paces in mud, sand dunes and grass alike without ever getting stuck or anything falling off.
There is plenty of room inside for a family of four and a dog, but luggage space is limited for shopping etc.
The performance is reasonable on road driving with enough power for motorway
cruising and getting you out of sticky situations.
In summary, it's a rugged, good looking
all rounder that is let down slightly by
a somewhat poor interior build quality,
corrosion on some panels and a tendancy
to line the pockets of the local petrol station owner, but, will I have another, you bet!
