1994 Vauxhall Frontera Sport review from UK and Ireland
"Very satisfied with this Frontera"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong!
General comments?
I bought my ’94 swb Sport, some 5 months ago, from a local part time car dealer.
Its history was unknown, the axle whined, and it had 128k on the clock, apart from that, all seemed in good order for its age.
This car is used every day, mostly short journeys, (under 10 miles) and checking the tank from tankfull to tankfull, I get 23.4 mpg, this I find reasonable for this sort of driving.
I have also taken part in three off-road events, held in old quarry’s, the “Sport” has really surprised me with its “go anywhere” capabilities, and the punishment it has withstood, and I’m talking serious of-roading here, and nothing has fell off, the engine delivers the torque to do the job, all in, a very good 4x4.
In 40 years of driving “allsorts”…..I can't really remember being this impressed with any other car, to this degree!
PS…….the axle still whines, and so it will, for a long time yet!
An excellent, serious, off-roader.
A solid feel to it, on road and off.
