1993 Vauxhall Senator C.D review from UK and Ireland
"Definitely the closest thing to the millenium falcon on wheels"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front oil seal leak at 186000 miles. this caused the alternator to fail and the battery kept draining. rotor arm exploded possibly given wrong one by dealer. mechanics told me oil seal was expensive job and difficult to do. my father proved them all wrong and fixed it and alternator in 3 hours. front passenger headlight cracked when I slammed the bonnet down too hard (doh!)
General comments?
The senators are by far one of the fastest reliable cars ever made. this one was ex police totally rebuilt in 1999 and a member of the autobahn stormers. it came with full photographic history of the restoration. it will hit the 160 mph indicated speed and continue on considerably further. i paid £1500 and for that purchased something that can mix it with ferrari's and decimate boxsters and imprezza turbo's all day long.
