2003 Vauxhall Signum 2.2 Design Direct review from UK and Ireland

I highly recommend this underated car! I read a number of negative reviews before buying and realised that they were all based on buying new and slated the depreciation. However they forgot to mention that this makes it a fantastic second hand purchase.

After a great deal of shopping around I stumbled across this rare car and was pleasently surprised to find I only had to pay £7500 for a 53 plate design model that has incredible looks with the dual exhaust and large alloys, but also has an executive interior with lots of goodies such as cruise control and top notch safety features, along with low running costs and 35mpg.

Owning the car so far has been a joy. Despite having owned a number of sports cars nothing has turned heads as much as this, perhaps due to its rarity or the stunning looks. I have even been approached on a petrol forecourt, in a car park and whilst on holiday by people asking what car it is and expressing their positive impressions.

Before buying this car I considered Estates from Audi and BMW to meet our needs with a baby due and DIY requirements, but neither came with the high spec that the Signum Design has or the individual sporting appearance that has been compared to the much more expensive Chrysler 300c.

As a sports car enthusiast making compromises for a forthcoming baby, I am pleased to still own a car to be proud of.
