Hi there,

I have just bought a 1996 Tigra and everything was fine until one day I noticed a very small oil leak, I drove it home about 10 miles and to my horror I noticed a lot of oil dripping out. Are there any common faults?

Has anyone got any advice as to what it could be and how much it will cost?

My sunroof is stuck. Any suggestions for getting it working? Is this a common fault?

I brought a Tigra yesterday, a 1996 model; it's a fantastic car to look at and drives well, but it's over heating when the car's not moving. It's OK when I'm driving it.

I took it to one garage and he had a quick look and said it could be the water pump, but my husband thought it was the thermostat, so we took it to a different garage and a mechanic looked at it and he said it's definitely, the thermostat so we went out and brought one, it cost £25 and my husband is going to fit it. Does this sound right to you? As I'm a bit worried. Please help.

Hi, can anyone help??

I bought a 1999 model Tigra over a week ago from a garage.

The day I got the car the temperature shot up to 100. A guy from work had a look at it and said it had no water in it. He filled it up and said to take it back, as there could be more of a problem with it like head gasket problems. The garage had it for a week, and said they had fixed the problem. I have it back for 3 days and the temperature stays on cold, is this normal?

Also I checked my water and it was empty. Is that normal to use that much water in a couple of days? I am worried that the whole engine is going to go. Are there any signs for this??

Please help, all advice appreciated!

Hi I've just bought a Tigra for my first car, and like every one else, my temp goes up to 100 in traffic. It was also over heating, so my friend did an oil change and it seemed to curb this, however my radiator had gone and the top hose. Got these change along with thermostat, and car is running a lot better, until I crashed it LOL oops, first time drivers hey!!!

Can anyone help as my Tigra indicators keep sticking. They work when they feel like it. Could it be a relay? And my temperature gauge goes up when I'm in traffic.

Hi. I bought a 1997 Tigra, and a day after buying it, the management light came on. Have been told it's the rubber pipe from the manifold to the throttle body. Is this easy to change or is it garage job?

Also, the only other fault is when we switch head lights on main not side, we get a buzzing noise. Any idea what might be? Cheers.
