"Awful car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The paint on this Tigra has oxidized and is generally in poor condition.

The gas exhaust recirculation valve has been replaced and left me stranded in the middle of nowhere with no warning signs of a fault.

The passenger side window goes down on it's own when I close the boot.

The interior of the car is very cheap looking and the the rear seats are extremely uncomfortable.

General comments?

The passenger window is designed to lower 3 inches when you close the boot. This allows the air to escape from the car which, in turn, prevents the front window popping out due to the vacuum created in the car. Not a fault, but a clever idea. A feature on all Tigras made from 1995 onwards. The older models have a rubber curtain built into the boot to allow the same thing.

The car should really be viewed as a two seater car. Anyone who expects to make full use of the four (yes only four) seats is sorely disillusioned. No point complaining about them as the Vauxhall Handbook for the Tigra even states "backseats should not be used by persons 5'3" or taller".

The car is cheap to run, relatively cheap to insure and looks wonderful whether modified or standard.

Why would you buy a car if the seats, design or comfort level was not to your satisfaction?
