2000 Vauxhall Vectra LS review from UK and Ireland
"Good value for the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Drivers seat creaks a lot tho with the miles the car has travel led I can live with it.
Engine management light comes on and off quite often
handbrake is not good tho it works OK. To be safe I always leave the gearbox in first or reverse.
The handling is not really all that good and tends to willow through tight corners. My last car a Nissan Prim era was far far better in corners.
General comments?
The car is good to drive and comfortable.
The gearbox shift is no where as good as a japanese car and feels quite clunky at times. It dose improve the farther you drive.
The engine is really good with good pulling power and is quiet on the motorway. Even at 90mph there is more wind noise around the cabin than comes from the engine.
The vectra was originally designed as a reps car and is more at home on the motorway than around town.
Its basically a good car and good for a family. The hatchback has loads of room in the back and with the seats folded down can carry as much as some estate cars.
