2006 Vauxhall Vectra Design review from UK and Ireland

What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing! It's been a very reliable car since I got it. The only garage action has been for its regular annual service.
Oh yes, one thing went wrong. The rear ashtray broke within the first month - didn't bother trying to fix it. Apart from that, no problems.
General comments?
When I first got this car I was happy for all the new toys - DAB radio, 6 CD multichanger, auto headlights, auto wipers etc, but expected to miss the agility of my old Mondeo. I needn't have worried as I'm not that fast a driver! I do a lot of motorway miles for work as this car just soaks them up like a sponge.
As a family car, it's great. Very roomy with a huge boot, it's been excellent for my family getting everything in the boot including the kitchen sink. It's quiet inside on the motorways, even with the poor state of the roads today.
Economy-wise it's also been very good. The car has two trip computers, and I've left the second one alone since new, meaning it's giving me stats for the life of the car. So during its 56000 mile life it's averaged 51.1 mpg, which is amazing for a car of this size.
