1995 Vauxhall Vectra GLS review from UK and Ireland
"Good A to B family transport"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine management system.
Handbrake.
Clock/radio display.
General comments?
Having owned a Cavalier 2.0 GLi for six years before buying the Vectra, and two Mk2 Cavaliers before that covering seventeen years, I had expected to see improvements over the Cavalier, and in certain areas there is.
But overall I must say that I agree with another comment written on this site; the Vectra is a retrograde model in comparison to the Cavalier; some niggles have been brought over and new avoidable ones created. As a low cost transport by today’s standards in terms of running costs, it makes a sound A to B transport, though.
