I have a vectra 1.8 16v on a P plate, so fare no problems, but I have only had it for 3 weeks, it has 92,000 miles and full service history, if you can give me some faults that I might want to look out for, please e-mail me.

Andy@finstructor.fsnet.co.uk thanks.

Hello I'm john and I have just bought a vauxhall vectra 1.8 petrol 5 dr hatch it's a 1998 model nice looking car, but has little problem and I'm wondering if someone will know whats the problem with this car, start up is fine on idle revs upto 1,5 on idle then fan cuts off, then I can be driving and the next thing I know is that when slowing down the revs kick in upto 2000 revs and calm down sometimes or just stay at 2000 revs this is very costly on fuel and I feel like people will think I'm reving at them too get them out my way this is not the case, i took it back too garage were I bought it from just over a week ago and they insist there is nothing wrong with it, but there has tooo be when it does things like this, can someone tell me the likely cause to why this idle engine likes to want to rev all by itself for no reason, anyone who knows can contact me on sir-john@hotmail.co.uk I look farward to your support.
