1998 Vauxhall Vectra GSi review from UK and Ireland
"A very muscular vectra - the best of the bunch"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Windows sometimes stick and move out of frame completly.
Erratic idling.
Faulty or broken wire to rear speakers.
Fog lights steam up, one was actually half full of water and has ruined entire light.
Paint chips off very easy, and front bumper is starting to look very bad.
No major mechanical faults or failures to be noted.
General comments?
The Vectra isn't the most inspiring of machines, but the styling of the GSI makes it stand out from the crowd.
I have had no major problems with my GSI mechanically its perfect and I don't exactly take it easy on the car. It gets a lot of abuse.
The GSI is very quick, handles very well and certainly looks the part. She turns a lot of heads! On the down side the interior is not very impressive although you do get nice electric recaro bucket seats on the GSI as standard which helps. If you can afford to put the petrol through one I would certainly recommend a Vectra GSI.
