1996 Vauxhall Vectra LS review from UK and Ireland
"A family conscious, Rep pleasing pleasure"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The reverse light switch on the gear box wanted replacing.
Split pin on gear box linkage fell apart.
I had problems with the idle speed stepper motor as the car was going frantic when idling (revving up and down on it's own) I took the stepper motor off and cleaning it with carb cleaner and put a new gasket on and it is fine now.
General comments?
The car is very quick and very reliable, I find it a pleasure to drive in both bad and good weather.
The car handles great.
The Dials are very easy to read and not too distracting at night.
I have had the car converted to dual fuel and it is brilliant for economy 400mls on £20 of gas.
