No faults at all.
I've had a series of Cavaliers and Vectras over the years including the odd 3 series BMW. No longer on a company car scheme so l bought my 1.8vvt sri with satnav privately from a local car supermarket. Six months old, 13k miles, mint condition for £8,900 - a bargain in my book. I've had it three months now and I think it's a great car. Well screwed together, reliable, looks great and in a different league to the old Vectra B model.
Getting 37+ mpg on mixed driving conditions including a lot of town work. The 1.8 vvt engine is more than adequate for pottering about, B roads and motorway work, however, occasionally it does feel a wee bit sluggish when trying to accelerate quickly from low revs in 1st or 2nd gear until the engine's wound up - then it flys. Oh well, you pays your money......
The car has a real quality feel to me and there are only a few areas where you can tell the bean counters have been busy. Stowage in the front is a bit limited and the wind up rear windows are a bad move. It's 2007 for chrissake!
Big plus for the sat nav/stereo - best music quality i've had in any car bar none. The ability to play mp3 disks eliminates the need for a CD multichanger and you can scroll through the albums/track listings on the colour screen - great. Road and engine noise are particularly well suppressed which means the music can sound even better!
Overall then, really pleased
I've just handed back a 2008 1.8 SRi 140 after a weeks use. I'm sorry to say that I can't find much good to say of it apart from being a very spacious estate.
Painfully underpowered for my liking.
