2004 Vauxhall Zafira Design review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Hi, well I too have found that on my 05 plate Zafira a complete loss of power and generally limping home.
This only happens when I go on the motorways, not when I am driving locally.
To ensure you don't get ripped off at the garage, call the RAC or AA etc.. and get them to diagnose the problem, it will generally be a sensor. fault code 0607 powertrain control module.
It is possible to go further and mess with the PCU to find the actual sensor which is faulty.
You will find that the engine ECU will reset when you turn the ignition off and on again. And you will get another 20 minutes of motorway driving.
It is a pain and can take some time to diagnose the faulty sensor, but you are better finding it as Vauxhall will charge you loads!!!
Good luck.
