2001 Vauxhall Zafira Club review from UK and Ireland
"A versatile, well thought out, small MPV."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Spare wheel was stolen.
Engine ran out of oil.
General comments?
This car is one of the smallest MPVs, but is cleverly designed to make the most of all the space it has. With it's versatile seating configuration, it successfully manages to be an occasional 7-seater.
My 1.6 engine is comparatively economical to run, regularly achieving 35 miles per gallon.
It probably isn't the most glamorous car to look at, but personally that was not a consideration I made when buying it.
My only major criticism is its vulnerable spare wheel. Mine was stolen.
Prior to purchase, I was a little concerned that a 1.6 engine would be insufficient for a car of this size, but following a test drive, I am more than happy with my purchase. It has never let me down on pulling power or overtaking.
If I was looking to replace my car, I would definitely consider another Zafira. I think that they are brilliant.
