2003 Volkswagen Beetle review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I purchased a 2003 Volkswagen Beetle for my daughter’s graduation present April 2008. Since this time the right tail light has gone out several times. I bought a new bulb, but when we went to replace it, the light was suddenly working again. The tail light comes on a off regularly. She never knows if it's working or not.
Recently my daughter notices that the headlight lens is missing form her car and it seemed as if it had been pulled off. But, after reading these posts, I now believe it may have just fallen off while she was driving. There’s grayish colored glue around the headlight rim that once held the lens in place and some of the glue is stuck to the side of the car. I’m having a difficult time trying to locate a replacement lens. I went to two auto part stores and with zero luck in finding the lens. I’m hoping that I don’t have to buy the entire headlight assembly. Does anyone know if I can purchase just the lens?
