General comments?
Owning a classic Beetle can only be accomplished with a great deal of love. They are as tempermental as a woman in labor if they are not properly maintained, but are so worth the effort.
Once you find the right person to work on them, they are a dream. Took us three years to find someone who could work on the rare and often hated autostick in this car, but we were determined to maintain all the original systems and now that we have found a mechanic, it was well worth the effort.
This car is my everyday ride and there is nothing better than the joy on people's faces when they see this fully restored punchbuggy go by. Those school bus stops with the kids all punching each other is a delight. Who didn't own at least one of these cars sometime in their life?
