2003 Volkswagen Beetle GLX review from North America
"It would have been curious to see this car with a rear engine Porsche style"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The ignition switch was cold sensitive and was replaced. When the outside temperature dropped below minus 20 celcius the solenoid would not
kick-in. I discovered this by leaving an electric car warmer in the car over night and the ignition switch worked.
General comments?
A remarkably nimble and stable cruiser. Transmission is smooth and precise for a 5 speed. Surprising top end of 185 km/hour.
