2000 Volkswagen Beetle tdi from North America - Comments

My 2000 has frustrated me to death more times than I'd hoped, but you find me a car that gets 45-50 mpg to replace it with, I put tons of miles on it fast in my line of work. 150 miles a day minimum. It's hard to beat the fuel economy.

Headlights?? I removed a bunch of stuff under the hood once... then I found the proper directions, it's a cake walk, takes two minutes. The fact that they don't last anytime at all is ridiculous, poor design and VW ought to be ashamed, but I'll take it for the fuel savings. Mine, 190k and growing quickly, bought at 90k and has been paid off quite a while which helps too.
