1999 Volkswagen Beetle TDI review from North America

I OWNED THE CAR FOR Less than 1000 MILES AND IT CONSTANTLY FEELS LIKE IT IS STALLING WHILE IN NEUTRAL.

The car cut out while everything else was running multiple times on major highways and highly populated streets in DC.

After buying the car from a dealership in no more than 2 weeks I had to spend close to 600$ in repairs when the fuel relay went bad. this was not covered by the dealership I bought the car from.

It took the techs at volkswagon 2 days to figure out what the problem was. when I had the car checked 2 days prior and they told me there were no major problems with the car.

They told me that car just had clogged injectors and to get some fuel cleaner. so I used fuel additive. then when the car went back to the dealership they added more fuel additive, which clogs the fuel filter that they had so convieneiently newly replaced. something the dealership that sold it to me had supposibly done.

Overall the car handles well is very torque, but is not worth the maintenance I have had to do in the month that I have owned the car.

It has kept me from going on trips I would have already taken because I am worried the car is going to crap out while I'm in another state and have to tow it to get home.
