1992 Volkswagen Corrado 16v review from UK and Ireland
"Individual, good looking and handles like a dream"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New discs all round - age.
Rear calipers changed.
Door handles broke 4 times!
Bushes replaced.
Driveshaft replaced.
CV Joints replaced.
General comments?
Good looking sports coupe.
Performance of the 16v is good, but the engine needs to work hard. Lacks low down punch.
Handling is superb, best handling front wheel drive car around in my opinion. Always a joy out on the open road, not very quick around town.
Buy the lowest mileage example, and FSH is a must.
VW dealerships, or stealerships, are a rip off. Go to an approved VW dealer for cheaper (same) parts and labour.
