1993 Volkswagen Corrado SLC/VR6 review from North America
"This car ROCKS. Easily the coolest VW on the pavement"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Air conditioning stopped working.
Heater core replaced (factory recall)
General comments?
I am so glad to own a Corrado VR6. I can't tell you how many Hondas, Acuras, and Jettas I see here in Los Angeles... but I *rarely* see other Corrados, much less VR6s. The car is addictingly fun to drive and perfect for modifying, if you're a Fast & The Furious-type gear-head.
For some reason, the driver of every sport compact car that gets within a quarter mile of my C feels compelled to race. Who am I do deny them? =)
If you can get your hands on one, I highly recommend picking one up. Technical problems are slim to none if you're mindful of your car and do regular maintenance. Once you have one, though, it might be a good idea to invest in a radar detector.
