What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car has had a long hard life and has in the course of events needed attention.
The break pump overheated and broke its seal.
The wheel bearings needed replacing.
General comments?
I loved this car when I got it and after 9 years, I still have a soft spot for it.
It replaced a very satisfying Volkswagen Golf MK II. It is not as good a car as the previous generation car - althought it is more comfortable. It is more expensive to run, not as reliable and slower.
It is head and shoulders above its peers - the Ford Escort, Opel Astra et al.
