2001 Volkswagen Golf GLS review from North America
"Hatchback from hell!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My 2001 Golf has been a nightmare. All windows went off track due to burned out motors.
The switch for the power rear view mirrors broke off during normal use.
The upholstery is falling apart.
Rumbling during idle.
Headlights, brake lights and signals burn out quickly.
Broken cup holders.
Broken glove compartment during normal use
sun roof went off track
bulb in air conditioning console went out
battery died at 10000 miles.
General comments?
Volkswagen service is expensive and time consuming. Too many things have been broken in this car. It is still new, but I have spent lots of money on repairs.
Parts are high priced.
Service advisor's are rude and not helpful.
