1999 Volkswagen Golf GT TDI review from UK and Ireland
"Wolf in sheep clothing"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Uneven tick over due to faulty ECU,
Unbalanced Fly Wheel,
Light Buzzer,
Track Rod end Boots split (could happen on any age car),
Gear linkage needed adjusting,
A few rattles in the dash were fixed.
Tracking,
All done under warranty.
General comments?
I have had this car fiited with a tuning box to bring the BHP from 110 to 140.
Other than these few problems my golf runs well.
Performace is good
Fuel consumpution is good.
Good do with better tyres when the standard VW goodyear Touring wear out.
