1991 Volkswagen Golf CL review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Glow plugs went at 200000 miles.
Driver seat worn at 170000.
General service carried out during ownership.
General comments?
The car handles very good as I have lowered the suspension, not much weight transfer and still a comfortable ride.
The dash started to creek a few months ago.
The engine has never been reconditioned over its 220000 miles history and it still will do 97mph on the flat.
