2002 Volkswagen Golf GT review from Cyprus
"2005 model is much better"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
ABS light came on (probably my fault for messing with the fuse box with the ignition on)
Boot central locking Failed once.
Front Driver Electric Window Problem.
Dealer fixed all these very promptly, except for the ABS because the ECU had to be ordered.
General comments?
This car is used as a workhorse, driving around in heavy traffic and very high temperatures during the day, these problems are minimal for the work it does all day.
The torque is amazing you can't get used to it, catching you off guard even after having it so long.
6 speed gearbox is very nice to use, 60MPH ~ 1800 RPM! and you don't even need to change down to overtake at this speed.
Suffers from body roll, could use
stiffer suspension.
Build quality is amazing compared to everything else in its class.
