2003 Volkswagen Jetta review from North America
"Never again a VW!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Turbo was a fiasco just getting a replacement when it blew. Having the timing belt done the mechanic used the old snubber (found out they are not re-usable later) a destroyed the top end... had to rebuild it. Has perpetual leaks that flood the floor on the driver and passenger sides. Trans makes all kinds of sounds... I'm sure its not long for this world...
General comments?
While the style is nice, and I like the leather interior, pick up and acceleration, and of course the gas mileage, there is a cost to buy and a cost to own... the cost to own far outweighs the cost of buying it... you have to have a back-up vehicle and lots of extra $$$ to own a Jetta!
