2000 Volkswagen Jetta GLS from North America - Comments

I have a 2000 Jetta TDI. So far I really haven't had any problems with the car and I have nearly 250,000 km on it! I feel for you guys, but when my car has been so dependable to me, I'm still all for VW's. Like the only problems I've had is 1, brought it to the VW dealership and damn is it expensive, so I found a private VW shop, fixes the car way better and for way less than the dealership. The only problems I've had with the car is 1, check engine light always on, can't figure out why, but don't really care because it hasn't hurt anything for 100,00okm so far so.. and the other thing was the air conditioning stinks when it turns on, but that's a common deal. I feel for all you VW guys out there having problems, but don't give up on VW. They're great cars, mine has been awesome, since the first day I purchased it.

OMG, having this car has been nothing but problems...

Since the day I bought it, I've only had it for 8 months is a Jetta 00 has 127k... Awful experience, had to take it get the transmission fixed was 1800, now I had to take it again but because of the water pump and the fans are not working... How great! Now that's going to cost me another $900, can you believe this, I really hate that car, I've had so many problem already, if is not the headlight is the tail light, if is not one think is another!!! I'm so over this car, I'm ready to sell this car, I don't even think a dealer would even give me a grand to trade it in, what a waste of money!
