2003 Volkswagen Jetta LX review from North America
"Bad, too expensive for its standard"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
About a year ago the problems started. I had about 42000 miles on my car at that time. In last 12 months I had spent about $1,500 on repairs. here are the parts that broke: engine temperature control unit (the engine light stayed on), water pump (broke),some belts had to be chnaged.
I had Honda before that and I never experienced any problems with it until about 70,000 miles. I am vary disapointed with this car. It used to be a well made german car about 20 years ago, now it is a lemon that people like me, who trust the German manufacturer, buy.
I will never buy any car from this manufacturer in the future and I am going to make sure that none of my friends does either. Sincerely, Janina Czarniecka.
General comments?
The interior is quite comfortable, but the car is very low and the rear mirror visibility is bad.
