2002 Volkswagen Jetta GL review from North America

Glove box hinge broke off recently.

Armrest hinge broke off recently.

Driver side door needs to be locked with key, button on key doesn't lock it anymore.

Turbo shuts down if put under high acceleration through 1st 2nd and 3rd gear.

Car is still running great minus the turbo problem every now and then. mileage is great, minus the recent spike in Diesel, but still cheaper technically, I've had this car since 2002 when we bought it new. just recently have things started to break, the dealership services have been OK, dad took the car to work one day and hit a deer, dealership gave us the new bumper, fender, and whatever else broke off warranty, after we fought with insurance who wanted to give us aftermarket parts, parts that the dealership sent us don't fit to great, the bumper sticks out just a bit under the headlights, and doesn't math the color of the rest of the car perfectly as we had to spray paint it, the fender came in good and the right size, so I'd say the car is worth it, and no matter what car, everything is going to break sooner or later, it took my car over 125,000 miles before very small problems started to happen, that and these engines will run for around 500,000 miles or more in some cases. don't judge the car buy some reviews, a lot of people just have bad luck when it came to their cars.
