Front passanger door reflector light popped off.
Nothing.
I just recently purchased my Jetta despite all of the awful reviews on reliability. (I leased haha). So far so good, I love it! I think it's a very attractive car, and solid as german cars get. Very safe as well.
Congratulations on your new car. Don't let a few other peoples bad experiences worry you. The fifth generation Jetta has been exceptionally reliable overall, and most glitches are things that may be annoying but not catastrophic.
Yes, by all means, avoid listening to the people who have owned a Volkswagen for more than a few day and have had to pour money into them. I'm sure your experience will be different. The fact of the matter is, Volkswagen makes a car that is substandard when compared to Toyota/Honda. They are over-priced, unreliable, and the price of the parts and repairs is crippling. Feel free to blissfully ignore this post.
